Clippy vs Maccy vs Paste: Which Mac Clipboard Manager Should You Use?

By Ashan Dulakshana, maker of Clippy · Updated 29 October 2026
Short answer

Clippy is free and best for organising links, on Mac and Windows. Maccy is free and the most minimal. Paste is the most polished and syncs with iPhone and iPad, but it's a paid subscription.

All three remember what you copy. They differ in price, what they save, and how much they help you organise.

Full disclosure: I make Clippy. I've tried to be fair to every app here, and I've said where another one is the better pick.
